— 1 Corinthians 12:13
For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body -whether Jew or Gentile, whether slaves or free- and have all been made to drink into one Spirit
Baptism is an outward declaration of your salvation. A signal to the world of your rebirth and your reunion with God. (Peter 3:21-22)
Jesus instructs us to be baptized and in turn set an example by being baptized. Baptism is an act of obedience that shows we believe and follow Jesus. (Matthew 28:19-20; 1 John 2:3)
For everyone who accepts salvation, baptism is the next step. As soon as you commit your life to following Christ, you are ready. (Acts 8:12)
The person being baptized should be someone who has made the decision themselves to commit to following Christ. We wait until the child expresses their want for a baptism. We do, however, perform baby dedictions as an act of faith. (Romans 10:9)
