A Word of Faith Church in Coastal Gulf County

Family Life Church | Celebrating 20 Years of Touching Lives With the Love of Jesus

Who is Family Life Church

Family Life Church is a Nondenominational Word of Faith Church. Founded on October 10, 1999, by Andrew and Cathy Rutherford, both graduates of Kenneth Hagin’s Rhema Bible Training College in Tusla Oklahoma. The church was founded with a three-fold purpose to:

  1. Actively GO into all the world with the Gospel of Jesus.
  2. GROW individually and corporately in the doctrine and character of Jesus.
  3. DO our part individually and corporately in the plan and will of God.

At Family Life Church, we value the presence of God, the authority of His Word, and the power of community. We believe church should feel like family—a place of truth, trust, and transformation.

Our Foundations

We were founded in 1999 with a clear calling: to teach the uncompromised Word of God and demonstrate the love of Christ with power and purpose.

Our leadership is grounded in the Word of Faith tradition, with deep roots in Rhema Bible Training College. That legacy continues today in our commitment to biblical teaching that equips people to walk by faith, live with integrity, and grow in their relationship with God.

The Region We Serve

Family Life Church is called to serve the communities along Florida’s Forgotten Coast, a beautiful and diverse region.

From military families and longtime locals to retirees and visitors, this area is home to people searching for real connection, spiritual growth, and a deeper relationship with God.

No matter your background or where you’re coming from, you’ll find a welcoming church family and a place to grow in faith right here in Coastal Gulf County.

Cathy Rutherford & Andrew Rutherford

Pastors Andrew and Cathy Rutherford are passionate about helping people grow in their relationship with God and live out their faith with confidence and purpose. Their vision has always been to build a church founded on the Word of God, led by the Spirit, and filled with the love of Christ.

Andrew Rutherford

“I grew up living all over the world as the son of a fighter pilot. Bridging cultural gaps and celebrating differences, while holding closely to family, is how I was taught to view the world…especially this generation!”

Cathy Rutherford

“I grew up in a small town and know first hand the value of long lasting relationships and community. Jesus loves people, and we do too!”
